White Oak is widely used for furniture, doors and floors, but also for all kinds of outdoor projects such as garden furniture or fences given its resistance.

It is also widely used for making barrels, and is also suitable for steam bending.

The wood is of medium texture, easy to work with hand tools or machines.

It often has a slight olive undertone, added to the light brown and gray typical of oak.

You must know the wood well when working it, since it moves more than other traditional woods.

It usually reacts to contact with iron producing color changes, so work with steel wool, iron nails or any tool that can leave traces of filings, which could spoil the finish, should be avoided.
