African wood with a light color and uniform texture. It is light, soft and very easy to work with, although quite resistant for its weight.

It is mainly used for making furniture and carving. Also for musical instruments such as guitars.

Stains are often applied in the finishing process to highlight the grain, which is a bit bland when natural.
