Garapa wood is not orange but between golden and light brown, very pleasing to the eye. The tone darkens over time, especially with exposure to light. It usually has the optical effect of changing color depending on the angle at which the light strikes it, from brown to bright gold.

It is a stable wood that is easy to work with, without problems in gluing or finishing.

Since it is quite hard and resists outdoors, it is usually used for floors and boat decks, although due to its color and ease of work it can be used perfectly for making furniture, boxes and many other applications.
