Dried European Beech wood plank, planed and squared. Manually selected.
Fairly hard and resistant wood, with a very uniform grain and texture. Very commonly used in Europe, where it is almost ubiquitous throughout the continent, especially in the center.
Beech wood has a light brown-pink color, with characteristic darker markings distributed over the entire surface.
It is used to make furniture, especially those that need more resistance, such as chairs and workbenches. Also for manufacturing toys and badges.
It is one of the most widely used woods in Europe, it is easy to work with although the grain is of little interest and it is difficult to give it a good finish, from an aesthetic point of view. On many occasions, especially for benches and furniture, it is chosen to leave it without any finish.
Beech wood is famous for being one of the woods that moves the most (they change size with variations in humidity), reaching 10-12% variation in extreme cases.
