African Teak is a golden brown wood, although it usually darkens over time. One of its advantages is its great resistance to humidity and insects, which is why it is frequently used as a substitute for teak.

It is easy to work with but frequently has accumulations of calcium carbonate, which wear down the edges of the tools.

It has many applications, from the manufacture of furniture and small wooden objects to sheets and boats.
