Dried African Walnut wood plank, planed and squared. Manually selected.

Dark brown wood, with golden and reddish areas that tend to darken over time. Quarter cut pieces have a striped appearance similar to sapele. The texture is smooth and shiny.

It is of medium hardness, easy to work both by hand and with machinery. It has no problems with gluing or finishing.

It is commonly used for furniture, flooring, sheet metal and lathe manufacturing.

Although it is called “African walnut”, it is not related to the Juglans family of walnuts but belongs to the Meliaceae family, such as mahogany, aromatic cedar and sapele.
