Light brown wood, which tends to darken quite a bit over time. The grain is almost gray in color, with a lot of personality. Marked, uneven texture. Very resistant to the passage of time and daily use, although it bears very little attack by insects.

It is an easy wood to work with and very common in Spain, although it has a tendency to split when nails are used. Almost any type of finish can be used without problems.

It is usually used for the manufacture of furniture, veneers and carving.
